Pakhi Tyrewala is the stage name of Punarnava Mehta an Indian actress who debuted in Bollywood in 2002 with "Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai?", in which she used her real name Punarnava Mehta. She later changed her name to Pakhi which is her nickname, and adopted Tyrewala after her marriage to Abbas Tyrewala.
She was re-launched by her husband Abbas with her new name as Pakhi in the movie "Jhootha Hi Sahi" 2010.
Pakhi is married to director Abbas Tyrewala. They met during the shooting of "Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na", in which she was looking after the casting. She is from Delhi was born to a teacher and journalist. She came to Mumbai in year 2000 She was an art of living teacher an organization headed by Sri Sri Ravi shankar
Pakhi Tyrewala is cast opposite John Abraham in the film "Jhoota Hi Sahi" and her name in this film is Mishka. She did TV advertisements for Ponds, Sunsilk, Dabur vattika, Herohonda, Rayban, Organics. She had worked in a TV serial "Juhi" in 1995, by the producer Kailash Soni and directed by Gurbir Singh Grewal who had introduced her in this TV Serial telecast 26 episodes on DD National 1997-98.
Same director had introduced Saakshi Tanwar in "Dastoor" serial in 1996. She acted as child artist in movies, serials and theater then took a sabbatical for her studies only to restart her career with "Yeh kya ho raha hain".
