Garrett Wolfe is an American football running back for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League.

NFL Career:

Spent first three seasons as a reserve running back, emerging as a major special teams contributor in his second year with the Bears... Compiled 270 rushing yards on 68 carries (4.0 avg) and 129 receiving yards on 1 receptions... Added 6 kick returns for 125 yards (20.8 avg) and 34 special teams tackles.

2009 SEASON: Played in 8 games before his season was cut short... Placed on Injured Reserve on 11/20... Ran the ball 22 times for 120 yards (5.5 avg) and scored his first career rushing TD... Caught 2 passes for 12 yards... Added 9 special teams tackles. GAMES PLAYED-STARTED: 8-0

PREVIOUS SEASONS: 2008 - Rushed for 69 yards on 15 attempts (4.6 avg)... Led Chicago with 21 special teams tackles... Returned 5 kickoffs for 98 yards (19.6 avg)... Posted first career TD, returning a blocked kick 17 yards for a score vs. MIN (10/19)... Rushed for a career-long 38 yards on a fake punt vs. TB (9/21)... Placed on Injured Reserve (12/11).
2007 - Carried 31 times for 85 yards in 13 games of action... Also hauled in 9 passes for 117 yards to go along with 1 kick return of 27 yards... Added 4 special teams tackles... Finished the season with a 33-yard reception vs. GB (12/23) followed by a 32-yard reception vs. NO (12/30) in seasons' final two contests.

College:

Became 12th player in NCAA Division I-A history to rush for over 5,000 yards in his career with a school-record 5,164 yards in three years at Northern Illinois (2004-06)... Became just the 4th player in Division I-A history to record 3-straight 1,500 rushing yard seasons... Ranks 4th all-time in Division I-A annals with career rushing average of 156.5 yards per game, surpassed only by Ed Marinaro, O.J. Simpson and Herschel Walker... Career average of 6.4 yards per rushing attempt set an NCAA Division I-A record (minimum 780 carries)... Also set school records for career touchdown runs (52), total touchdowns (57), 100-yard rushing performances (22) and 200-yard rushing performances (10), while ranking second in all-purpose yards (5,983) and points scored (344)... Became the first player in conference history to lead the league in rushing, scoring and all-purpose yards in three consecutive seasons.

Personal:

All-state tailback at Holy Cross (Chicago, Ill.) H.S. who went on to set 11 team records... Named team Offensive Most Valuable Player as a senior and junior, adding first-team Catholic League all-Red Metro Division and league MVP honors both seasons... Led team to the state Class 5A playoffs in 2001...Ran for 2,041 yards and 24 touchdowns during his final campaign, finishing his career with 4,311 rushing yards and 56 touchdowns during his final two years.
