Elisabeth Hasselbeck is an American television host and television personality. She was a contestant on Survivor: The Australian Outback (2001) and is a current co-host on the daytime talk show The View (since 2003).

Elisabeth Hasselbeck was known as Elisabeth Filarski when her bubbly personality caught viewers' attention on the show Survivor in 2001. She'd graduated from Boston College in 1999, where she'd played softball, but her popularity on the reality show focused her career toward the small screen. She nabbed a gig hosting a Style Network show about high fashion on a low budget called The Look for Less, and she stayed with the show for two years. In 2002, Elisabeth married her college sweetheart, professional football player Tim Hasselbeck, and took his name. The next year, she joined the cast of The View, providing a youthful voice for the show's round-table discussions when Lisa Ling left the show. Hasselbeck's conservative political and cultural views frequently clashed with those of co-host Rosie O'Donnell, especially on the topics of terrorism and the war in Iraq. The two became embroiled in many heated debates on the show, fueling rumors that the two feuded off screen as well -- though both denied them.

Personal:

On July 6, 2002, Hasselbeck married her college boyfriend, former professional football quarterback Tim Hasselbeck. They have a daughter, Grace Elisabeth born in 2005, and two sons,Taylor born in 2007 & Isaiah born in 2009 .

Hasselbeck is a supporter of breast cancer awareness initiatives in the form of an internet-only PSA on breast cancer diagnosis.

Hasselbeck is living with celiac disease. She has written a book on the subject, The G-Free Diet: A Gluten-Free Survival Guide, which has appeared on several best-seller lists. On June 23, 2009, a lawsuit was filed in a federal court in Massachusetts alleging that her book was plagiarized from a self-published book by Susan Hasset. Hasselbeck released a statement calling the allegations baseless. The lawsuit was dismissed in November 2009 when the plaintiff's lawyer declined to pursue it, saying to the press that he believed some degree of plagiarism occurred, but it was not sufficient to justify monetary damages .
